- Algae Cyanobacteria Enumeration (Blue Green Algae) – This one-day course is designed to introduce Drinking Water Treatment personal to the microscopic world of algae. Operators can learn a great deal about the general quality of the water by an examination of the phytoplankton populations. Operators will be advised of the concern of the presence of other microscopic organisms that may influence the treatment and purification of drinking water.
- New Watermain Installation – This one-day course is designed to provide an understanding of the installation of new watermains to include: types of piping, pipe selection, system design, safe excavation, pipe fittings installation, flushing & swabbing, chlorination and de-chlorination, pressure testing & methods for sampling, and the importance of good documentation. Discussions on how to use chlorination/de-chlorination equipment will be addressed. The latest disinfection methods as they pertain to watermain installation will also be covered.
